Gasso has been crafting puff pastry since 1885 in Barcelona, and these delicate pastry bows are a testament to that heritage. Crisp, buttery, and subtly sweet, they're the kind of biscuit you find tucked into a café napkin or served with afternoon coffee in a Spanish home. At 150 grams per box, they're substantial enough for a household staple yet refined enough to pass around at a gathering.

About this product

Made using traditional puff pastry techniques, these lacitos (little bows) have the signature shatter-and-dissolve quality that comes from proper lamination. The pastry is golden and airy, never dense or greasy. They're lightly sweetened to let the butter shine through — the kind of cookie that tastes simple because the execution is flawless.

How to enjoy

  • Dunk into hot chocolate, coffee, or tea on a quiet morning
  • Serve alongside a glass of sweet wine or dessert wine
  • Pack into a picnic basket or leave on a plate during an afternoon gathering
  • Pair with a slice of manchego or membrillo for a modern snack board

⭐ Why we love this

Gasso's lacitos represent Barcelona's uncompromising pastry tradition—140 years of perfecting the lamination that creates that signature shatter-and-melt texture impossible to replicate at home. These aren't industrial shortcuts; they're the exact biscuit served in Spanish cafés, where simplicity and butter quality are everything.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Dunk these into a strong café con leche on Sunday morning, or serve alongside a glass of Moscatel de Valencia for an authentic Spanish merienda. They're equally at home with hot chocolate on a winter afternoon—the butter and sweetness complement both warm and chilled drinks perfectly.

📍 From Spain

Handcrafted in Barcelona since 1885, Gasso remains one of Catalonia's most respected artisanal pastry makers. This region's tradition of excellence in butter-based pastries is reflected in every crisp, golden bow—a direct line from 19th-century Catalan bakeries to your table.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5 / 5 from 1 reviews.

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
