Bonito del Norte—the prized white tuna of the Cantabrian Sea—yields the most delicate cuts. The ventresca, the belly muscle, is the catch's finest prize: supremely tender, luxuriously fatty, and impossibly pale. Felisa Gourmet sources these premium loins from traditional fishing grounds off the Spanish coast, then pack them raw into glass jars with extra virgin olive oil, salt, and a whisper of sunflower oil. The result is a conserva that tastes like the sea, distilled.

This is not light tuna; this is the cut reserved for the best tables in San Sebastián and Madrid. The white flesh tells the story of cold water, careful handling, and respect for the fish. Open a jar and you'll see why Spanish cooks keep a reserve in the pantry.

How to enjoy

  • Serve straight from the jar with warm toast, fresh tomato, and a pinch of fleur de sel.
  • Flake into salads—especially with white beans, chicory, or bitter greens.
  • Top a slice of Iberian jamón and manchego for an instant tapa.
  • Dress with lemon and flat-leaf parsley as a simple first course.

Shipping & guarantee

Free worldwide shipping from Spain with tracking. Duties and customs charges are included, so there are no unexpected import costs. If a local carrier nevertheless requires an import payment, send us the official payment request or receipt and we'll reimburse the eligible charge.

Your parcel is handed over against a signature — that is what keeps it secure on the way from Spain. If nobody is home, the carrier leaves a notice; at rural addresses this can mean collecting the parcel from your local post office.

Freshness & money-back guarantee: If your order arrives damaged, past its best, or not as described, we'll refund or replace it.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5 / 5 from 1 reviews.

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
