Centolla — the spiky Atlantic crab prized along Spain's northern coast — yields some of the ocean's most delicate meat. Felisa Gourmet's centolla conserva captures that sweetness and tender texture in a 120-gram jar, hand-extracted and packed in its own light brine. This is a product for those who know the difference between good seafood and truly exceptional seafood.

About this product

Centolla meat is prized for its subtle flavor and silky texture, quite distinct from the brown crab or blue crab of other regions. Felisa sources and hand-extracts the meat with care, then preserves it simply: meat, water, and salt. No oils, no heavy sauces — just the crab itself. The result is a conserva that tastes like a professional seafood counter, ready to eat straight from the jar or incorporated into your own preparations.

How to enjoy

  • Serve chilled on crisp toast with a squeeze of lemon and a pinch of sea salt.
  • Fold into a mayonnaise-based sauce for croquetas or seafood pasta.
  • Top a fresh green salad with sherry vinegar and extra virgin olive oil.
  • Spoon onto grilled white fish to finish a simple supper.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5 / 5 from 1 reviews.

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
