Club del Gourmet's whole black peppercorns deliver the sharp, complex heat that makes a dish sing. These are peppercorns as they should be: harvested at peak ripeness, dried slowly to concentrate their oils, and packed whole so you grind them fresh at the moment of cooking. A staple of Spanish home kitchens and professional chefs alike.

About this product

Whole peppercorns retain their volatile aromatics far longer than pre-ground pepper. Crack or grind them just before use to unlock the full spectrum of their flavor — warm spice notes with a lingering bite. Each 70-gram jar is the right size for a household that cooks regularly and values freshness over convenience.

How to enjoy

  • Grind fresh over soups, stews, and roasted vegetables at the table for maximum impact.
  • Crack coarsely and toast in a dry pan before grinding for deeper, toasted undertones.
  • Use in marinades for beef or pork; combine with sea salt and olive oil.
  • Add to pickled vegetables or vinaigrettes for a sharp finish.

⭐ Why we love this

Club del Gourmet's whole black peppercorns embody Spanish kitchen philosophy: quality over shortcuts. Unlike mass-produced ground pepper that loses its character within weeks, these whole berries retain their volatile oils and complex heat profile, making them the choice of Spanish home cooks and chefs who understand that freshly cracked pepper is non-negotiable.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Grind these peppercorns generously over creamy Spanish soups like avgolemono or white bean stews, or crack them coarsely into a traditional gazpacho finish. They're equally essential for seasoning grilled seafood and cured jamón — the sharp bite cuts through rich, salty flavors perfectly.

📍 From Spain

These peppercorns come from Spain's most reliable spice suppliers, meeting the exacting standards that Spanish home kitchens have demanded for generations.

Customer Reviews

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
