Club del Gourmet, brings together manzanilla olives and crisp gherkins in a bright vinegar brine. The manzanilla — Spain's most approachable green olive, buttery and mild — pairs beautifully with sharp pickled gherkins for a textured, refreshing tapa that needs no introduction to Spanish tables.

About this product

These olives are selected for their tender flesh and balanced flavor, preserved in a vinegar solution that keeps them crisp and tangy. The gherkins add a welcome snap and acidity, cutting through the olive's richness. A small jar designed for immediate enjoyment: open, pour into a dish, and serve alongside cured meats, cheese, or simply with a glass of wine and good bread.

How to enjoy

  • Serve chilled as a pre-dinner tapa with jamón or chorizo
  • Drain and toss into a green salad with sherry vinegar dressing
  • Add to a Spanish cheese board alongside manchego and membrillo
  • Spoon into a gin and tonic for a savory twist

⭐ Why we love this

This is Spanish tapa culture distilled into a jar—manzanilla olives represent the heart of Spain's olive tradition, and pairing them with gherkins is a time-honored technique that transforms a simple ingredient into something memorable. Club del Gourmet's selection respects that balance: no gimmicks, just quality fruit and technique.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve chilled with a crisp Fino sherry or dry white from northern Spain—the vinegar's acidity and the olive's buttery texture shine alongside these wines. Perfect as a pre-meal tapa alongside jamón ibérico, or spoon directly into a Spanish gin and tonic for an instant aperitif.

📍 From Spain

The manzanilla variety itself is indigenous to Andalusia, where it thrives in the region's Mediterranean climate and remains Spain's most celebrated green olive.

Customer Reviews

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
