Club del Gourmet sources single-origin Arabica beans from Guatemala's highland farms, where altitude and volcanic soil create beans with balanced acidity and subtle sweetness. Roasted to a natural medium that preserves the bean's origin character, each 250-gram bag delivers the clean, bright cup that specialty coffee drinkers seek.

About this product

These whole beans arrive at their peak freshness, ready to grind at home. The natural roast—neither light nor dark—highlights Guatemala's typical flavor notes: soft spice, stone fruit, and a hint of cocoa. Whether you prefer a pourover, French press, or espresso machine, the bean's structure adapts well to most brewing methods. Store in an airtight container away from heat and light to preserve freshness after opening.

How to enjoy

  • Grind medium-fine and brew in a pourover or Chemex for clarity of flavor.
  • Use for espresso to bring out the cocoa and spice notes in crema.
  • French press brewing brings out the bean's heavier body and sweetness.
  • Keep opened bags sealed to maintain aroma and taste for up to two weeks.

⭐ Why we love this

The natural roast preserves the bean's complexity without over-processing, delivering the balanced cup Spanish specialty coffee enthusiasts demand.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Enjoy this medium roast with Spanish churros dipped in chocolate for a classic pairing, or alongside a slice of tarta de Santiago in the afternoon. The bean's stone fruit and cocoa notes complement both sweet pastries and savory breakfast fare like jamón ibérico on toast.

📍 From Spain

While the beans originate from Guatemala's volcanic highlands, Club del Gourmet sources and roasts through Spain's premium food division, ensuring quality standards meet European specialty coffee benchmarks.

Customer Reviews

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
