Club del Gourmet's chestnuts in syrup are a refined Spanish preserve that captures autumn in a jar. Whole roasted chestnuts are gently suspended in a light, aromatic syrup—the result is a luxurious confection that sits between a dessert and a gourmet condiment.

About this product

These are whole chestnuts, carefully selected and preserved in a delicate syrup that lets their natural sweetness and tender texture shine. The syrup is subtle—enough to preserve the fruit without overwhelming it. Club del Gourmet products are known in Spain for their restraint and quality, avoiding the heavy sweetness found in mass-market preserves. Perfect with dessert wines, served alongside cheese, or eaten straight from the jar with a small spoon.

How to enjoy

  • Serve chilled as a dessert course with a glass of moscatel or sweet wine
  • Pair with soft cheeses—Camembert or Brie work beautifully
  • Add a spoonful to plain yogurt or vanilla ice cream
  • Gift to a food-loving friend who appreciates Spanish gourmet traditions

⭐ Why we love this

Chestnuts in syrup represent a centuries-old Spanish autumn tradition, and Club del Gourmet's version honors that heritage with restraint and precision. Unlike mass-market versions, these preserve the delicate, almost buttery texture of whole roasted chestnuts—a product that recalls the candied fruits once reserved for Spanish nobility and special occasions.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve chilled alongside a glass of Moscatel de Valencia or a Pedro Ximénez sherry for an elegant after-dinner moment. They also pair beautifully with aged manchego or soft blue cheese (like Cabrales) as part of a Spanish cheese board—the syrup's subtle sweetness cuts through the saltiness perfectly.

📍 From Spain

These chestnuts are selected from Spain's traditional chestnut regions, then expertly prepared and preserved to Club del Gourmet's exacting standards of elegance and flavor.

Customer Reviews

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
