Remo Bonito Ventresca in Olive Oil, Spanish Canned Fish, Pack of 2 (2 × 111g)

Remo's ventresca de bonito is the belly cut of Atlantic bonito—the most tender, fat-rich portion of the fish. Packed in extra virgin olive oil and sealed in glass, each 111-gram tin delivers the clean, meaty flavor that Spanish coastal families have relied on for generations. Ventresca is leaner than traditional white tuna but richer in omega oils, with a silken texture that flakes gently under a fork.

About this product

Remo sources bonito from sustainable Spanish fisheries and preserves each fillet in olive oil without added salt or unnecessary brine. The result is a conserva that tastes like the fish itself—no fishy aftertaste, no metallic edge. Whether you're building a composed salad, topping crostini, or eating straight from the tin with a wooden spoon and crusty bread, the quality is unmistakable.

How to enjoy

• Toss warm with pasta, white beans, and a squeeze of lemon.
• Dress chilled with sherry vinegar and red onion for a quick ensalada de ventresca.
• Layer on toasted bread with roasted red peppers and a caper or two.
• Serve as part of a Spanish seafood board with jamón, olives, and manchego.

⭐ Why we love this

Ventresca is the prized belly cut that Spanish conserveros reserve for their finest tins—it's what separates a casual tin of tuna from a true delicacy. Remo's restraint (no added salt, no filler) lets the natural umami and silken texture of Atlantic bonito shine, making this the conserva that Spanish pantries never run out of.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve chilled with a crisp Albariño or Txakoli to echo the ocean minerality of the fish, or pair warm with a light Verdicchio. For a traditional Spanish moment, enjoy it as part of a merienda with crusty pan integral, membrillo, and a glass of Fino sherry.

📍 From Spain

Remo sources bonito from sustainable Atlantic fisheries off the Spanish coast, then hand-packs each delicate fillet in their facility in northern Spain. This brand's commitment to minimal processing honors the conserva tradition that's been central to Spanish coastal cuisine since the 16th century.
