Real Conservera Española Ventresca de Bonito del Norte, 120g

Real Conservera Española has been crafting the finest canned seafood from Spain's Atlantic coast for generations. This Ventresca de Bonito del Norte — the prized belly cut of northern white tuna — is packed in extra virgin olive oil at the peak of the season's catch. Each 120-gram tin holds tender, buttery flesh that melts on the palate: this is what Spanish pantries have relied on for decades.

About this product

Ventresca is the most delicate part of the bonito, with a higher fat content that gives it a silky texture and subtle, complex flavor. Caught off the Cantabrian coast and canned within hours at peak freshness, this special edition represents the harvest at its best. The fish is preserved in its own natural oils and extra virgin olive oil, requiring no added binders or excess salt — just pure, honest curing.

How to enjoy

• Serve straight from the tin on toasted bread with a squeeze of lemon and fleur de sel
• Flake gently into a salad of white beans, red onion, and sherry vinegar
• Pair with roasted peppers, capers, and a drizzle of the packing oil as a simple tapa
• Layer into a pan con tomate for an elevated open sandwich

⭐ Why we love this

Ventresca is the soul of Spanish conservera tradition—this belly cut's higher fat content delivers a luxurious, buttery texture that mass-produced canned tuna can't match. Real Conservera Española's commitment to canning within hours of the Cantabrian catch preserves the bonito's delicate complexity, making this tin a benchmark of what authentic Spanish pantry staples should be.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Pair this with a crisp, mineral Albariño from Rías Baixas or a dry Manzanilla sherry—the wine's acidity cuts through the fish's richness beautifully. On the table, serve alongside Padrón peppers, crusty pan de cristal, and a good Arbequina olive oil for a quintessential Spanish coastal spread.
