Rabitos Royale brings together two Spanish traditions in a single bonbon: the richness of milk chocolate and the natural sweetness of Andalusian dried figs. Each of the eight pieces in each 142-gram box pairs a whole dried fig with smooth milk chocolate, creating a textural contrast that feels both indulgent and balanced. The figs are sourced from the Higuera region, where the fruit has been dried under southern Spanish sun for centuries.

About this product

These are not stuffed chocolates but rather whole dried figs enrobed in milk chocolate. The fig remains intact inside, so you taste its chewy flesh and subtle nuttiness before the chocolate melts on your palate. It's a deliberately simple confection — no fillings, no surprises, just two ingredients done well. The chocolate coating is glossy and snaps cleanly, while the fig interior stays soft and moist.

How to enjoy

  • Serve alongside strong coffee or a glass of oloroso sherry after dinner.
  • Include in a gift box with other Spanish confections for a gourmet present.
  • Pair with an aged manchego for a sweet-and-savory tapa.
  • Keep a few in your bag for an afternoon pick-me-up that feels less indulgent than most candy.

⭐ Why we love this

Rabitos Royale exemplifies the Spanish art of pairing fruit with chocolate — a tradition rooted in Andalusian confectionery that dates back centuries. By leaving the fig whole and simply enrobing it, the makers honor both ingredients, letting the fig's natural umami and the chocolate's smoothness speak equally, rather than masking either one.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve after dinner with a glass of oloroso sherry or aged tawny port — the dried fig's earthiness and the chocolate's sweetness echo the wine's complexity. Alternatively, enjoy one with a small wedge of aged Manchego cheese for a play on Spanish sweet-savory culture.

📍 From Spain

These bonbons come directly from Andalusia, where the Higuera region has perfected fig-drying under the intense southern Spanish sun for generations. Rabitos Royale sources whole figs from this heritage region and pairs them with quality milk chocolate, keeping production rooted in Spain's authentic confectionery craft.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5 / 5 from 1 reviews.

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
