Pequeña Repostería's orange fondants are a Spanish confectioner's take on a timeless pairing: candied orange peel enrobed in dark chocolate. Each piece balances the bright, slightly bitter citrus with smooth chocolate—sophisticated enough for after dinner, approachable enough for an afternoon with coffee. The 210-gram box contains enough to share, or to keep close for yourself.

About this product

These are not hard candies or chewy strips, but tender fondants: the orange center has a delicate, almost melt-in-the-mouth texture that contrasts gently with the chocolate shell. The recipe reflects decades of Spanish confectionery tradition, where simple, high-quality ingredients matter more than novelty. A box like this one lives in the kitchen drawer of anyone who appreciates a refined sweet without pretense.

How to enjoy

  • Serve after a meal with coffee or tea, or alongside a small glass of sweet wine.
  • Pack into a gift box for someone with refined taste.
  • Keep in a cool cupboard for an afternoon pick-me-up.
  • Pair with Manchego cheese for a surprising savory-sweet contrast.

⭐ Why we love this

Pequeña Repostería honors a Spanish confectionery tradition where candied citrus and chocolate are treated as equals, not toppings. The tender fondant center—not hard candy—shows the restraint and precision that define Spanish artisan sweets, proving elegance needs no artifice.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve with a glass of Pedro Ximénez sherry or aged brandy to echo the orange's warmth and the chocolate's depth. Alternatively, pair with strong espresso or a cup of chamomile tea for a more understated afternoon moment.

📍 From Spain

Pequeña Repostería draws from Spain's centuries-old confectionery heritage, where regional masters refined the art of candying citrus peel—a technique perfected across Andalusia and Valencia's orange groves. These fondants represent that legacy in miniature form.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5 / 5 from 1 reviews.

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
