Ora et Labora Bitter Orange Marmalade, Spanish Preserve 300g

Ora et Labora's bitter orange marmalade captures the sharp-sweet intensity of Seville oranges at their peak. Spread across warm toast or stirred into Greek yogurt, this 300-gram jar delivers the distinctive tang that has defined Spanish breakfast tables for generations. The bittersweet notes—neither cloying nor aggressively sour—make it equally at home alongside a cheese board or glazing duck.

About this product

Made from whole bitter oranges and sugar using traditional methods, this marmalade preserves the fruit's natural pectin and authentic flavor. The result is a preserve with visible pith and a glossy, spreadable consistency that speaks to careful craftsmanship rather than industrial convenience. Each spoonful offers the clean, citrus-forward character that Spanish cooks have relied on for decades.

⭐ Why we love this

Ora et Labora's bitter orange marmalade is a direct link to Spain's marmalade heritage—Seville oranges have been the gold standard for this preserve since the 18th century. The visible pith and natural set prove this is made the classical way, without shortcuts, delivering that perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness that defines authentic Spanish marmalade.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve alongside a glass of dry Amontillado sherry and aged Manchego for an elegant Spanish breakfast spread, or use as a glaze on roasted pork loin with a crisp Verdejo white wine from Rueda. The marmalade's acidity cuts beautifully through rich fats, making it essential for any Spanish-inspired charcuterie board.

📍 From Spain

Sourced from Spain's premier marmalade maker, this preserve honors the centuries-old tradition of Seville orange cultivation in Andalusia, where the fruit's distinctive bittersweet character thrives. Ora et Labora's commitment to whole-fruit preservation keeps this regional specialty authentic and unapologetically bold.
