Ora et Labora's apple and mint jam is a straightforward, unsweetened preserve from Spain that lets orchard fruit and fresh mint speak for themselves. Made with apples sourced from Spanish growers and infused with real mint leaves, this 300-gram jar brings a subtle herbaceous note to breakfast toast, cheese boards, and afternoon pastries.

About this product

This is not a heavy, overly sugared jam. The texture is smooth and spreadable, with visible mint flecks that remind you of what went into the pot. Ora et Labora focuses on traditional methods and minimal intervention — no artificial flavors or excessive pectin. The mint provides a cool counterpoint to the natural sweetness of the apples, making it versatile enough for both sweet and savory applications.

How to enjoy

  • Spread on warm toast with a knob of unsalted butter and a pinch of sea salt
  • Pair with fresh goat cheese or aged cheddar on a charcuterie board
  • Swirl into Greek yogurt with granola for breakfast
  • Use as a glaze for roasted duck or pork
  • Top vanilla or almond cake for a garden-fresh finish

⭐ Why we love this

Ora et Labora's restraint is rare—this jam honors the Spanish tradition of preserving without masking. The apple-and-mint combination echoes the garden herbs that define Mediterranean cuisine, while the minimal sugar approach lets you taste actual fruit rather than syrup.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve alongside a crisp, mineral Spanish white like Albariño or Verdejo for breakfast; the mint cuts through the wine's acidity beautifully. For savory applications, pair with jamón ibérico on crostini, or brush the glaze over roasted pork with a glass of Rioja.

📍 From Spain

Ora et Labora sources apples from Spanish orchards and produces this preserve using time-honored methods that prioritize ingredient quality over industrial intervention. The brand embodies the artisanal philosophy of small Spanish food makers who refuse unnecessary additives.

Customer Reviews

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
