Gasso Artesans has been crafting confections in Spain since 1885, and these Lacitos dark chocolate bites carry that century-old tradition into your kitchen. Small, ribbon-shaped morsels of dark chocolate, each one is designed to dissolve on the tongue — a moment of quiet indulgence that feels both nostalgic and refined. They are the kind of sweet a Spanish grandmother keeps in her handbag, the kind you reach for with coffee or after dinner.

Made by master confectioners who understand that chocolate should taste like chocolate, not chemistry. These are ideal for anyone who values artisanal technique over mass-market convenience. The dark variety offers a deeper, less-sweet profile than milk chocolate — sophisticated without pretension.

How to enjoy

  • Pair with a cortado or café con leche for an afternoon break.
  • Offer as a petit-four after a meal, straight from the box.
  • Keep a small portion at your desk for moments when you need a few seconds of calm.
  • Gift to Spanish friends abroad — they will recognize the box instantly.

⭐ Why we love this

Gasso's Lacitos represent a disappearing Spanish tradition: hand-crafted confections made with patience rather than shortcuts. Since 1885, this artisan house has perfected the art of the dark chocolate bite—a staple of Spanish confiterías where quality and restraint matter more than sugar content.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Enjoy with a rich cortado or café con leche during the Spanish afternoon break, or pair with a glass of aged brandy or Moscatel after dinner. Their refined dark chocolate profile also complements a dry Fino sherry beautifully.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5 / 5 from 1 reviews.

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
