Gasso's cigarrillos have been rolled by hand in Spain since 1885, creating delicate, paper-thin wafers that shatter on the tongue. These crispy cookie rolls are a timeless Spanish confection — lighter than a biscuit, more refined than a wafer — perfect with coffee, tea, or as a palate cleanser after a meal.

About this product

Each cigarrillo is individually wrapped, preserving the signature crispness and subtle vanilla flavor that has made Gasso a household name across Spain. The rolls are thin enough to see light through, yet sturdy enough to dip into hot chocolate or espresso. Produced in Spain using traditional methods, they represent a golden age of Spanish confectionery craftsmanship.

How to enjoy

  • Dip into hot chocolate or strong espresso for a classic Spanish breakfast moment.
  • Pair with afternoon tea or coffee as an elegant, understated treat.
  • Serve alongside sorbet or granita for a light, crisp contrast.
  • Pack as a portable, shelf-stable gift that travels well.

⭐ Why we love this

Gasso cigarrillos embody 140 years of Spanish confectionery mastery — each hand-rolled wafer is a testament to the paciencia and precision that defines Spain's artisanal traditions. The paper-thin texture and delicate vanilla notes capture a refinement that modern mass-produced cookies simply cannot replicate.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Dip these into a shot of strong espresso or hot chocolate á la española (thick, luxurious chocolate) for an authentic Spanish breakfast, or pair with a glass of sweet Moscatel de Valencia for an elegant afternoon indulgence. They're also sublime alongside a chilled horchata on a summer afternoon.

📍 From Spain

Gasso has been crafting these iconic cigarrillos in Spain since 1885, preserving time-honored hand-rolling techniques that remain unchanged across generations. This is Spanish confectionery heritage in its purest form — a delicate thread connecting today's tables to the golden age of Spanish baking tradition.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5 / 5 from 1 reviews.

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
