Felisa Gourmet sources fresh sardines from the daily catch, fillets them by hand, and preserves them in a bright tomato sauce balanced with vinegar and sea salt. The result is a tin that tastes like lunch on a Spanish coast — no pretense, just clean fish and careful technique.

About this product

These sardines are prepared the traditional way: fresh fillets meet a simple sauce of tomato, vinegar, sunflower oil, and sea salt. The acidity of the sauce cuts through the richness of the fish, making each fillet tender and flavorful. A tin yields four or five generous fillets, suitable for a light lunch or part of a larger tapas spread.

How to enjoy

  • Open and serve straight from the tin with crusty bread and a squeeze of fresh lemon.
  • Scatter over a green salad with white beans and red onion.
  • Layer into a tortilla española or Spanish omelet.
  • Pair with roasted peppers, anchovies, and olives on a charcuterie board.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5 / 5 from 1 reviews.

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
