Estilo Kikí Candied Onions, Spanish Confitada, Pack of 2 (2 × 130g)

Estilo Kikí has perfected the art of the Spanish candied onion—a slow-cooked condiment that transforms humble onions into glossy, tender strands with natural sweetness and subtle depth. Each 130-gram jar holds onions preserved in their own syrup, neither a jam nor a preserve, but something altogether different: a versatile accompaniment born from Spanish kitchen tradition.

These candied onions are made through patient simmering until they caramelize gently and collapse into yielding threads. The result is a condiment with understated elegance—sweet but not cloying, with the faint savory backbone that onions retain even when cooked down. Use them to finish roasted meats, layer into a charcuterie board, or spoon over creamy cheeses.

How to enjoy

• Serve alongside cured ibérico ham or other jamones on a wooden board.
• Spoon over warm goat cheese or aged manchego for an instant tapa.
• Top grilled fish or poultry during the last minute of cooking.
• Fold into soft cheese spreads or mix into salad vinaigrettes.
• Pair with pâtés or foie gras for a sweet-savory contrast.

⭐ Why we love this

Estilo Kikí's candied onions represent a quintessential Spanish technique—transforming simple ingredients through patience and precision into something far greater than the sum of its parts. This is the kind of artisanal condiment that elevates tapas culture, cutting through rich fats with subtle sweetness while maintaining the vegetable's essential savory character.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve alongside a glass of dry Amontillado or Oloroso sherry—the fortified wine's nutty complexity mirrors the caramelized depth of these onions. They're equally perfect with a crisp, cold Fino as a pre-dinner tapa, or alongside cured ibérico ham at the heart of a Spanish charcuterie spread.

📍 From Spain

Estilo Kikí sources from Spain's tradition of artisanal preserves, bringing the slow-cooking methods of Spanish home kitchens to commercial production. This candied condiment reflects the Spanish mastery of transforming humble vegetables into sophisticated accompaniments—a hallmark of authentic Spanish gastronomy.
