El Navarrico White Asparagus Spears, Extra Large, Pack of 2 (2 × 135g)

El Navarrico's white asparagus spears come from the fertile valleys of Navarre, Spain's asparagus heartland. These extra-large yemas—the tender tips prized by Spanish cooks—are harvested at peak tenderness and preserved in a light brine that lets their delicate, subtly sweet flavor shine. A jar of 135 grams is enough for an elegant tapa, a composed salad, or a simple plate with good olive oil and jamón.

About this product

White asparagus grows beneath the soil, protected from sunlight, which gives it a pale color and milder taste than its green cousin. El Navarrico selects only the thickest spears and the most tender tips, then cans them fresh to lock in texture and flavor. The result is a conserva that feels homemade—no mushiness, no metallic aftertaste, just clean asparagus suspended in its own light brine.

How to enjoy

• Serve chilled as a tapa with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and fleur de sel.
• Arrange on a plate with jamón ibérico and manchego cheese for a Spanish cheese board.
• Toss into a composed salad with hard-boiled eggs, anchovies, and vinaigrette.
• Pair with grilled fish or white wine at a light lunch.

⭐ Why we love this

White asparagus is Spain's answer to delicacy—grown in Navarre's dark soil to preserve its pale, tender character—and El Navarrico captures that refinement perfectly. These yemas (tips) have the snap and subtlety that define authentic Spanish conservas, making them feel less like canned goods and more like a chef's pantry staple.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve chilled with a crisp Albariño or Txakoli from the Basque Country to echo the region's coastal elegance, or pair with a dry Fino sherry for a classic Spanish aperitif. The delicate sweetness also complements grilled white fish or a light seafood ceviche beautifully.

📍 From Spain

El Navarrico sources from Navarre, the heart of Spain's white asparagus production, where cool valleys and careful soil management create conditions for the thickest, most tender spears. This northern region's tradition of precision canning means your tin preserves the vegetable at its peak—no compromise, just pure asparagus in gentle brine.
