Confituras Tradicionales Blackcurrant Jam, Spanish Extra Conserve 300g

Confituras Tradicionales makes jam the way Spanish households have for generations: slowly, with whole fruit and a measured hand with sugar. This blackcurrant conserve (mermelada extra) is deep purple, intensely fruity, and unapologetically tart – the kind of preserve that reminds you why jam matters. At 300 grams, it's substantial enough to anchor your breakfasts and elegant enough to serve alongside soft cheese or duck pâté.

About this product

This is a true extra jam, meaning it contains a higher ratio of fruit to sugar than standard mermelada. Blackcurrant (cassis) brings a sophisticated edge to Spanish preserving tradition – bright, slightly herbal, and complex on the palate. The result is a jar that tastes like concentrated fruit rather than sweetened gelatin, ideal for those who appreciate subtlety in their spreads.

How to enjoy

• Spread generously on warm croissants or buttered toast for breakfast.
• Pair with creamy cheeses – particularly soft goat's cheese or Camembert – on a charcuterie board.
• Swirl into Greek yogurt for a tart, fruity finish.
• Use as a glaze for roasted duck breast or pork tenderloin.

⭐ Why we love this

Confituras Tradicionales upholds the Spanish art of conserva-making—minimal intervention, maximum fruit integrity. The blackcurrant's natural tartness and herbal complexity shine through without the cloying sweetness of industrial jams, embodying the artisanal philosophy that defines authentic Spanish preserving.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve alongside a creamy Manchego or aged Idiazabal cheese with a glass of chilled Albariño, or swirl into plain yogurt with a drizzle of Spanish honey for a bright, sophisticated breakfast. The jam's acidity also cuts beautifully through rich pâtés and roasted game—perfect for a Spanish tapas spread.

📍 From Spain

Confituras Tradicionales sources its fruit from Spain's finest preserving traditions, crafting this blackcurrant conserve with the same slow-cook methods that have defined Spanish jam-making for centuries. This commitment to traditional technique ensures every jar delivers authentic flavor and texture that mass-produced alternatives simply cannot match.
