Quantity

Club del Gourmet's mini torta de guirlache is a compact version of the Spanish classic: layers of crisp caramelized almond brittle and soft nougat, designed to deliver the full intensity of Alicante's turrón tradition in a single, elegant serving. At 160 grams each, it sits between a snack and a proper dessert, making it ideal for sharing or savoring slowly with coffee.

About this product

Guirlache turrón is distinguished by its textural contrast—the crunch of toasted almonds bound in caramel, offset by the yielding softness of nougat. This is not the chewy, powdery turrón de jijona, nor the hard-crack turrón de alicante, but a hybrid that rewards both patience and indulgence. Club del Gourmet, sources and produces this torta with the same attention to provenance and craft that defines the brand.

How to enjoy

  • Serve in thin slices with a small glass of sweet wine or dessert sherry.
  • Pair with strong coffee or hot chocolate for an afternoon break.
  • Give as a gift—the compact format makes it travel-friendly and elegant.
  • Crumble into vanilla ice cream for an impromptu dessert.

⭐ Why we love this

Guirlache represents Alicante's most textural interpretation of turrón—the caramelized almond shards create an audible crunch that shatters against soft nougat, a sensory experience that defines Spanish Christmas confectionery at its most refined. Club del Gourmet's version honors this centuries-old tradition without pretension, delivering authentic complexity in a portion-controlled format.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Serve thin slices with a glass of Pedro Ximénez sherry or a sweet Moscatel from Valencia—the wine's caramel notes echo the torta's toasted almonds. Equally splendid alongside strong espresso or as an accompaniment to afternoon merienda (Spanish tea time).

Customer Reviews

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
