Quantity

Club del Gourmet's cracked black pepper brings the warmth of freshly crushed peppercorns to your kitchen. Each 200-gram jar holds whole peppercorns that have been carefully cracked — coarser than ground pepper, with more surface area and deeper flavor release. A staple in Spanish cooking and fine dining alike, it adds bite and complexity to soups, roasted vegetables, grilled meats, and simple olive oil-dressed salads.

About this product

Cracked black pepper releases its volatile oils more slowly than pre-ground varieties, meaning the flavor develops as you cook rather than dissipating into steam. The larger particles also provide textural contrast — noticeable on the palate without being harsh. Club del Gourmet, sources spices chosen for their potency and clean flavor, with no additives or fillers.

How to enjoy

  • Crack fresh over tomato salad with sea salt and good olive oil
  • Grind coarsely into peppercorn crusts for beef or duck
  • Simmer in broths and stews for layered warmth
  • Sprinkle over roasted root vegetables before serving

⭐ Why we love this

Club del Gourmet's cracked black pepper honors Spanish culinary tradition where fresh-cracked spices are prized for their aromatic intensity. Unlike pre-ground pepper that fades quickly, these coarse particles release flavor gradually, delivering the complex heat that elevates everything from gazpacho to jamón-draped croquetas.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Perfect for finishing a plate of pan con tomate or grinding over grilled gambas al ajillo. Pair with a crisp Verdejo white wine to balance the pepper's sharp bite, or use generously on cured Iberian meats alongside aged manchego cheese for a sophisticated Spanish charcuterie board.

Customer Reviews

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
