Quantity

Club del Gourmet's dried chives bring the fresh, delicate onion bite of Spanish kitchens to your cooking year-round. At 10 grams, this is a pantry staple for cooks who understand that a pinch of quality herbs at the finish elevates everyday dishes — a soft potato omelette, scrambled eggs with seafood, or a simple fish broth — without overpowering them.

About this product

Dried chives retain their mild, slightly sweet onion character better than most fresh herbs survive storage. Spanish gastronomy prizes them for their subtlety: they do not compete with bold flavors, but enhance them. Club del Gourmet sources and dries these with care, preserving color and aroma. Use a light hand — chives are potent even in dried form.

How to enjoy

  • Finish a tortilla española or potato and egg dish with a pinch just before plating.
  • Stir into crème fraîche or sour cream for a quick dip with crudités or boiled potatoes.
  • Sprinkle over fish or shellfish, particularly mussels or grilled sea bass.
  • Mix into soft cheeses, cream soups, or vinaigrettes for a fresh note.

⭐ Why we love this

Club del Gourmet chives capture the essence of Spanish herb gardening tradition—a delicate finishing touch that Spanish cooks use to brighten seafood, eggs, and potatoes without muddying their pure flavors. Dried chives from quality producers retain their subtle onion sweetness far better than wilted fresh bunches, making each 10g jar a chef's secret weapon for authentic Spanish cooking.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Finish a plate of gambas al ajillo or grilled dorada with these chives alongside a crisp Albariño or Verdejo—the herb's mild onion notes complement briny seafood beautifully. They're equally at home garnishing a tortilla española served with a chilled fino sherry, or scattered over creamy seafood rice.

📍 From Spain

This dried chive selection reflects Spain's deep respect for herb-based seasoning, where restraint and precision elevate rather than mask the ingredients themselves.

Customer Reviews

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
