Club del Gourmet Bonito del Norte in Olive Oil, Spanish White Tuna, Pack of 2 (2 × 80g)

Bonito del Norte — the prized white tuna of Spain's northern coast — arrives in each 80-gram jar packed in pure olive oil. Club del Gourmet sources these delicate fillets for their tender texture and subtle, clean flavor. Unlike the darker skipjack or yellowfin, bonito del norte melts on the palate and absorbs the oil's richness without heaviness. A quiet luxury for those who know the difference.

About this product

These white-tuna fillets are hand-selected and preserved in olive oil, capturing the catch at its peak. The fish's natural oils and the surrounding medium create a silky, almost buttery character ideal for minimalist preparations where the tuna's quality stands alone. Stored in glass, each jar keeps well and develops subtle depth over time.

⭐ Why we love this

Bonito del Norte represents the gold standard of Spanish canned seafood — a fish so prized that Basque fishermen have protected its name for centuries. Club del Gourmet's careful sourcing and preservation in pure olive oil honors the fish's delicate, almost sweet flavor, making it a cornerstone of Spanish gastronomy that elevates even the simplest plate.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Pair this with a crisp Txakoli, the refreshing white wine from the Basque Country, or a mineral Albariño from Galicia. For a traditional Spanish moment, serve as a tapa alongside a glass of dry Fino sherry and enjoy with good bread — the briny minerality of the wine mirrors the ocean in every bite.

📍 From Spain

Sourced from the Basque region of northern Spain, where the cold Atlantic waters produce bonito del norte of unparalleled quality. This iconic fish has been hand-caught and preserved by Basque tradition for generations, and Club del Gourmet maintains those exacting standards in every jar.
