Caro's turrón caramels marry the brittle, toasted-almond soul of traditional Spanish nougat with the convenient dissolve of a hard candy. Each piece is a small reminder of why turrón — the confection born in Jijona and Alicante — remains Spain's most gifted sweet. These guirlachicos deliver that signature crunch and subtle honey note in a format you can slip into a pocket or keep on your desk.

About this product

Made with the classic turrón formula of toasted almonds, honey, and nougatine, these caramels preserve the texture and flavor of handmade turrón in a portable candy form. The crisp, light structure gives way to a warm almond finish that lingers pleasantly without being cloying. Ideal for anyone who loves traditional Spanish confectionery but wants something quicker to eat than a full turrón bar.

How to enjoy

  • Suck slowly to experience the honey and almond layers.
  • Pair with strong coffee or a glass of oloroso sherry in the afternoon.
  • Tuck into a gift box for travelers or colleagues familiar with Spanish sweets.
  • Keep in a tin at room temperature for long-term enjoyment.

⭐ Why we love this

Caro has captured the soul of Jijona's centuries-old turrón tradition in candy form—no compromise on the toasted almond and honey authenticity that makes Spanish nougat legendary. This is not a novelty; it's a respectful reimagining that honors the craft while solving the real problem: turrón should be portable.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Pair with a glass of oloroso sherry or aged Jerez brandy in the late afternoon—the honey sweetness and almond depth complement the rich, oxidized warmth perfectly. These also shine after a strong espresso or alongside a wedge of aged Manchego for an instant Spanish pause.

📍 From Spain

Born from Alicante's legendary turrón-making heartland, Caro sources the tradition of Jijona—where master confectioners have perfected the honey-almond formula since the 15th century. Every piece carries the DOP heritage of Spain's most protected sweet.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5 / 5 from 1 reviews.

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
