Bio Club del Gourmet sources single-origin cacao from the Dominican Republic for this organic dark chocolate tablet. At 71% cocoa, it strikes a balance between the deep, slightly earthy notes of high-cocoa chocolate and enough sweetness to be genuinely enjoyable — not austere. Each 100-gram bar is a straightforward pleasure: good cacao, organic certification, and the kind of everyday indulgence that doesn't require an occasion.

About this product

This is organic chocolate in the truest sense: no artificial additives, no excessive processing. Dominican cacao brings a gentle fruitiness and subtle spice character that unfolds as the chocolate melts. At 71%, the cocoa solids are prominent enough to satisfy serious chocolate enthusiasts, while the remaining cocoa butter and organic sugar keep it accessible. It's the sort of bar you keep in a desk drawer or reach for after dinner — honest chocolate that tastes like chocolate.

How to enjoy

  • Melt a square or two slowly on your tongue to experience the full flavor profile.
  • Break pieces into a bowl of Greek yogurt with fresh berries.
  • Pair with strong coffee or a glass of red wine in the evening.
  • Gift it to someone who appreciates quality chocolate without pretension.

⭐ Why we love this

This is Spanish chocolate done right—Bio Club del Gourmet respects both the Dominican cacao and the tradition of European chocolate-making without unnecessary fuss. At 71%, it delivers the mineral depth chocolate lovers crave while staying genuinely pleasurable, embodying the Spanish philosophy of quality over complexity.

🍷 Pairing suggestion

Pair with a robust Spanish red wine like Tempranillo or a glass of café cortado after a meal. The chocolate's subtle fruitiness and spice also complement a dry Amontillado sherry beautifully, or simply enjoy with strong coffee for an afternoon pick-me-up without artifice.

📍 From Spain

While the cacao originates in the Dominican Republic, this chocolate is crafted and certified organic by Spanish producers who understand that quality chocolate is about restraint and respect for the bean.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5 / 5 from 1 reviews.

The USPS required a signature on the delivery. This was unknown to me. I had to drive 30+ mile to retrieve the item, vice delivery to my address.

Finca La Rosala Marcona Almonds with Rosemary – Roasted Spanish Snack – Pack of 2 (2 × 90g)

Store owner replied: Thank you for the five stars, James, and I'm sorry about that drive. Our parcels travel as tracked international post with Correos in Spain, and USPS takes over for delivery in the US. We don't ask for a signature when we post, but it turns out USPS releases these parcels against one. At most addresses that just means signing at the door; in your case the delivery didn't go through, so USPS held it at the nearest post office, and that cost you a long trip. The surprise is partly on us, so we're adding a clear line about it to our shipping information. We can't give you back the time, but to cover the fuel we'd like to offer you $15 off anything in the shop on your next order. - Mateo, Iberian Direct
